   Compared to last week:  Feeder cattle not thoroughly tested last week,
stronger undertone noted today.  Demand very good on today's thin fleshed
steers and replacement quality heifers.  Slaughter cows 1.00 to 2.00 lower,
heiferettes several dollars lower, slaughter bulls steady.  43 percent over
600 lbs.  36 percent of feeders were steers; 64 percent heifers.  Feeder cattle 
made up 56 percent of the run; slaughter bulls 2 percent; bred cows 3 percent;
balance slaughter and feeding cows.
Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 560 lbs 108.75-112.00; 650 lbs 94.00-
98.00; 700 lbs 91.50.
Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1 450 lbs 111.00-114.00, replacements 
125.00; 500-600 lbs 97.50-99.50, replacements 116.25; 600-700 lbs 86.75-
94.25, replacements 96.35-100.00; 700 lbs 86.50.
Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1 for March 1 calving 5-6 year olds few 1258 lbs
750.00; Middle aged (solid mouth) few 1293 lbs 710.00; Aged (broken mouth) 1200-
1330 lbs 560.00-635.00.
Feeding Cows:  2 year olds 980-1005 lbs 64.00-65.00; Heiferettes 930-1230
lbs 47.00-51.00; Middle aged to Aged 1145-1355 lbs 42.50-47.25.
 
Slaughter Cows:
Percent Lean
Premium White 65-75  1300-1630 lbs    44.00-48.00,  low dressing 42.25-42.75
Breakers      75-80  1165-1670 lbs    43.75-46.00,  low dressing 40.50-42.50
